KontrolFreek Performance Thumbsticks are primarily designed for official PlayStation and Xbox controllers.
Some third-party controllers may also be compatible, but fit can vary depending on the size, shape, and design of the controller’s analog sticks.
How can I check compatibility?
Start by reviewing our Controller Compatibility Guide and looking for your exact controller model.
Be sure to check the full model name rather than only the brand. For example, different controllers made by GameSir may use different analog stick designs and may not all have the same compatibility.
What if my controller is not listed?
If your exact controller is not listed, it may not have been officially tested.
KontrolFreek thumbsticks may fit controllers that use analog sticks with dimensions similar to official PlayStation or Xbox controllers, but compatibility cannot be guaranteed for untested models.
Why can fit vary between controllers?
Third-party controllers may use:
- Wider or narrower analog sticks
- Different edge shapes
- Removable thumbstick caps
- Taller or shorter stick designs
- Softer or harder materials
- Unique attachment systems
Manufacturing tolerances can also cause small differences between controllers of the same model.
What information should I send support?
If you would like help checking a controller, please send us:
- The controller brand
- The full model name
- The console or platform it is designed for
- A photo of the controller
- A close-up photo of the analog sticks
Our team can compare the controller with known compatibility information, but we may not be able to guarantee fit if the model has not been officially tested.
What should I do if the thumbstick does not fit?
Do not force the Performance Thumbstick onto the controller.
Forcing the product into place may damage the attachment clips, the controller, or the original analog stick.
If the product does not attach securely with normal pressure, stop installation and contact our support team for guidance.
Also please keep in mind that any third-party controllers that have identical dimensions to the default OEM analog sticks will also be compatible with our thumbsticks.
