Just started using KontrolFreeks and your aim feels a little off? Don't worry, that's perfectly normal!
Any time you change your controller setup, your muscle memory will need a bit of time to catch up.
Why does my aim feel worse?
KontrolFreeks change the height of your thumbsticks, which changes how your thumb moves.
At first, this can feel like:
- Your aim is too fast or too slow
- You’re overcorrecting
- Things just feel “off”
Nothing is wrong with your thumbsticks. It’s just your hands getting used to a new feel.
How long does it take to adjust?
Most players adjust within a few gaming sessions.
Some feel good after a match or two, others need a few days of regular play. It depends on how long you’ve been using your old setup.
Should I change my sensitivity?
Maybe, but start small.
Some players keep their settings the same and adjust naturally. Others bump sensitivity up or down a bit to get comfortable faster.
If something feels off, make tiny adjustments instead of big changes.
Tips to get adjusted faster:
- Give it a few sessions before judging
- Play in practice or unranked scrims
- Stick with one setup while you adjust
- Only tweak sensitivity in small steps
